Tokyo, Japan – February 9, 2026 – SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. and Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc. have reached an agreement on a business alliance (hereinafter "the Alliance") to promote social implementation through the development of innovative technologies and consulting services utilizing drones, AI, and other advanced tools.

The two companies have previously developed automated inspection technology for overhead transmission facilities using drones. This technology was implemented into "POWER GRID Check," a specialized business application for overhead transmission facility inspections, which has been in operational use at Chubu Electric Power Grid's sites since 2021.

Since its launch, the companies have worked to further enhance inspection operations by implementing AI that detects equipment abnormalities in real-time. Furthermore, since September 2025, both companies have been jointly providing consulting services for inspections and equipment maintenance using "POWER GRID Check" for facilities owned by third-party customers

Through this business alliance, the two companies aim to expand the scope of facilities targetable by "POWER GRID Check" to achieve autonomous and consistent inspection operations for all power transmission and distribution equipment using advanced technology, while also developing new technologies utilizing AI and devices such as drones in areas beyond inspection. Furthermore, they seek to optimize overall power transmission and distribution operations by analyzing and utilizing high-level data obtained from "POWER GRID Check" and other newly developed technologies.

Moving forward, the companies will strengthen their cooperative structure to implement "POWER GRID Check" for a wider range of customers. They will also jointly deploy newly developed technologies as consulting services, building a more integrated system than ever before to achieve the social implementation of these technologies.

Both companies remain committed to contributing to the resolution of social issues by developing innovative technologies and expanding consulting services through this Alliance.

news_sr-pg-photo-2What is 'POWER GRID Check'?

'POWER GRID Check' is a transmission equipment inspection application that utilizes drones, based on technology jointly developed by Sensyn Robotics and Chubu Electric Power Grid. It is characterized by its ability to automatically inspect transmission towers (supports and insulators) and transmission lines (ground wires and power lines) in one go. The application ensures a safe distance between the drone and the equipment while performing automated flights to collect consistent data, allowing workers without specialized knowledge of drones to easily conduct transmission line inspections.
