SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. has been jointly developing a Construction Management Support System with Chiyoda X-ONE Engineering Corporation (CXO) . We hereby announce the trial introduction of this newly developed system in CXO’s periodic maintenance work at their work sites.
CXO is responsible for plant engineering and maintenance, particularly large-scale periodic overhaul construction, in collaboration with many partner companies. In recent years, pressing issues have included the increasing complexity of construction content and workload due to the aging of facilities, in addition to the retirement of skilled engineers and workload concerns related to work style reforms. Specifically, there is a need for more efficient information gathering, utilization, and sharing in complex construction management, reduction of man-hours for on-site checks and attendance, and streamlining of document creation processes after the completion of construction management work.
To address these challenges, SENSYN ROBOTICS and CXO have engaged in continuous discussions, leveraging CXO’s accumulated expertise in long-term periodic overhaul construction to develop a Construction Management Support System that integrates necessary functions as a plug-in to GEMBA CONNECT, the construction management tool provided by SENSYN ROBOTICS.
This system enhances the equipment management application, "GEMBA CONNECT", which enables intuitive remote confirmation of the work site by placing panoramic images on drawings, with functions essential for plant maintenance work. By utilizing the plug-in functions in addition to GEMBA CONNECT’s remote confirmation capabilities, site managers can achieve visualization of the plant, allowing construction managers and, consequently, the plant owners to grasp the site situation in a timely manner.
The system also enables the visualization of deliverables such as reports and evidence (proof) like construction result images through terminal devices, facilitating smooth execution of important tasks and reporting. This contributes to suppressing construction errors and rework, optimizing the communication load regarding the work site experienced by plant owners, site managers, and partner companies, and supporting sustainable business continuity.

Towards full-scale operation in fiscal year 2026, we will proceed with system improvements based on feedback gained from the trial introduction, and add features that include the utilization of AI for construction planning formulation. SENSYN ROBOTICS and CXO will continue to promote initiatives aimed at resolving issues in plant maintenance and realizing periodic overhaul DX.
