Tokyo, Japan - May 9 , 2024 -SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has begun offering the EP-1 drone for high, dark, and confined space inspections, which is handled by SENSYN Explorer, an indoor inspection solution, to JUST Corporation for the purpose of structural survey and inspection. With the introduction of this drone, we will support the use of JUST Corporation in its structural survey operations.
Since its founding, JUST Corporation has been a leading structural survey company that has surveyed, inspected, inspected, and diagnosed 3,000 to 5,000 structures annually as a third-party independent organization. The company is also developing a drone-based structural survey service as part of its services utilizing the latest technology.
In considering the introduction of the system, JUST Corporation considered it important that the system be directly related to solving customer issues. Therefore, during the preliminary verification phase, JUST Corporation piloted the system at its own facilities and at actual sites over a period of about two months. The effectiveness and limitations of the system were verified in surveys inside the ceilings of one of the largest exhibition halls in Japan, a large stadium, a theme park, and an office building, as well as in a hume pipe. This aircraft is small, with a diameter size of approximately 30 cm, based on the concept of “taking it with you to the field anytime,” making it easy to carry. It also has the advantage that the aircraft can be easily operated in non-GPS environments, such as indoors, because the aircraft is stabilized by using high-precision positioning technology. Through the verification, the EP-1 was selected as a new addition to JUST Corporation's drone survey service lineup due to its high evaluation of the stability of the aircraft during operation, as well as the expected reduction in the time required to learn business skills due to its simplicity of operation.

Although companies offering indoor drone inspection services are gradually increasing, we were not aware of any where the parent company is a structural investigation firm. The impetus for adopting the 'EP-1' came from a remark made by a customer at one of our sites. They said, "Since this is an inspection, ideally, we would like Just Corporation as an investigation company, to also handle indoor drone inspections." That was the starting point. However, when we looked into existing drones, we found many barriers to adoption, such as the difficulty in mastering the controls and the high cost of the drones. Because of these obstacles, we had given up on the idea for a while. Late last year, we learned about the 'EP-1' and conducted a two-month evaluation. During this evaluation, we found the operation to be very simple and were impressed by the stability of the drone, particularly its ability to hover steadily. The ability to remain stationary is actually very important for inspections, as it is synonymous with the ability to "observe and examine" thoroughly. Internally, we felt a surge of excitement, thinking, "Finally, we've found a drone that allows us to focus entirely on the inspection itself."
SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. will collaborate with JUST Corporation to further add value to the services that JUST Corporation has been providing with its strengths in building diagnosis technology, photography, and third-party services. The company aims to provide new value by linking with “GEMBA CONNECT,” which enables centralized management and utilization of facility information, to visualize data and tasks on the cloud for data utilization after the shooting.
