Tokyo, Japan – August 5, 2025 – SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. is pleased to announce the joint development and launch of a monitoring system for temporary construction elevators with Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. The system has been implemented at a condominium construction site currently under development by Penta-Ocean Construction.

Unlike standard permanent elevators, temporary construction hoists (hereinafter referred to as "ELVs") used at construction sites typically do not display the current floor or destination floor on their exteriors. As a result, workers often cannot track ELV movement, leading to prolonged wait times and decreased operational efficiency. Furthermore, at sites operating multiple ELVs, there has been no way to collect and aggregate data regarding each ELV’s operational status or the materials being transported, making it difficult to optimize hoist allocation and lifting plans.
To address these challenges, SENSYN ROBOTICS collaborated with Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. to develop the Construction Hoist Monitoring System. This system is composed of edge devices installed on-site and a cloud platform. The edge devices capture signal data from the ELV control panels and video from inside the ELVs, and transmit this information in real time to the cloud. On the cloud platform, site offices and workers can view the current position and destination of each ELV in real time through monitors or smartphones, significantly enhancing information sharing on-site.
This system leverages SENSYN ROBOTICS’ AI development platform, ‘SENSYN CORE,’ which includes authentication functions and a sensor integration framework. These features enable the efficient construction of tailored systems that meet specific operational improvement needs.

Operational Workflow Before and After Implementation of the Construction Hoist Monitoring System
With the introduction of this system, workers are now able to monitor ELV movements, reducing wait times and improving work efficiency. A comment display function allows important information for each ELV to be shown on the monitor, facilitating greater transparency and smoother communication across the worksite.
The system also includes real-time activity graphs and utilization comparison tools, enabling visualization of operational status and supporting the efficient operation of ELVs and optimization of lifting plans.
Sample Interface of the Construction Hoist Monitoring System
Looking ahead, the accumulated data is expected to further optimize lifting operations through AI analysis. By analyzing data such as cargo type, weight, and lifting time, stakeholders will be able to assess lifting progress, compare planned versus actual performance, and potentially shorten construction timelines. Future enhancements aim to support more accurate decision-making by combining this data with AI to automate utilization comparisons and analysis tasks.
SENSYN ROBOTICS is committed to improving productivity and efficiency across construction sites through AI-powered visualization and optimization, contributing to solving challenges in the social infrastructure sector.
