Tokyo, Japan - August 8, 2023 - We are pleased to announce that RemoteBase provided by SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. has started to be introduced at construction sites.

RemoteBase is a solution developed by SENSYN ROBOTICS and Takenaka Corporation that allows anyone to easily operate UGVs*1 remotely. It enables inspection, photography, voice communication, etc. from anywhere in the world as long as there is Internet access, not just in the field.

UGVs are attracting attention for their use at construction sites because of their features such as "several hours of operation," "mounting of various devices is possible," and "easy installation.
On the other hand, the increase in the number of types of equipment and the sophistication of their functions has led to the proliferation of different remote control interfaces, requiring users to learn how to operate each type of equipment, which has become a factor preventing the introduction of UGVs. In contrast, RemoteBase enables remote control of various UGVs on the same user interface using a game controller connected to a PC.

The system has already been introduced for patrol operations at a Takenaka Corporation construction site in Nagoya, and is scheduled to be introduced at several more sites in the future.

We plan to continue to develop new functions based on customer feedback to better meet on-site needs.

Robot to be used

At present, the UGV "JACKAL" manufactured by CLEARPATH ROBOTICS is supported, and any other robot that uses ROS*2 can be used. The "Scout mini" and "Bunker mini" UGVs from AgileX Robotics are scheduled to be introduced on site.
