In recent years, with the evolution of multi-modal* large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, there has been a growing demand for their application in infrastructure sites. A new challenge has also emerged: how to organize, classify, and utilize the vast amount of image data as useful information. To meet these needs, SENSYN ROBOTICS has developed a new feature that uses generative AI to automate the initial diagnosis.

*1　Multi-modal: AI technology, such as ChatGPT (GPT-4o) and Gemini, that can understand the content of an image and explain it in words. It is characterized by its ability to handle multiple types of information, such as images and videos, in addition to text.

Service Overview

This service is a new solution that incorporates generative AI in addition to conventional machine learning (SENSYN ML) into SENSYN CORE Datastore, the data management function of the AI application development platform "SENSYN CORE". By uploading acquired data to "SENSYN CORE Datastore" and linking it with generative AI according to a pre-set workflow, the service analyzes images and automates the initial diagnosis of equipment conditions. This not only allows for a speedy start to AI utilization, which was previously considered difficult, but also enables the development of custom AI for objects that require even greater accuracy.

Main Features

Based on natural language instructions in Japanese such as "red car," "garbage," or "cracks," "SENSYN CORE Datastore" automatically detects the corresponding objects in images. In previous image diagnosis methods, it was common to start by collecting a large number of images of the object, but the generative AI feature of "SENSYN CORE Datastore" eliminates this need, significantly reducing the implementation workload.

"SENSYN CORE Datastore" automatically analyzes what is in an image and records a descriptive text in the comments. Previously, it was necessary to manually check each image to confirm the objects, but "SENSYN CORE Datastore" automates this by analyzing all images, making manual confirmation work more efficient. Since these functions can be adjusted in Japanese, image analysis can be used in business operations without requiring specialized knowledge of AI.

Efficient on-site patrol work

In on-site patrol work, dozens to hundreds of images are recorded in a single patrol. When these images are uploaded to "SENSYN CORE Datastore," all of them are analyzed, and they are automatically classified as "abnormal" or "potentially abnormal". This allows personnel on-site to focus on checking the few images that have been identified as abnormal. Furthermore, even in situations where a different perspective is required, such as for monthly or ad-hoc inspections, the system can handle various analysis requests simply by having the person in charge adjust the Japanese settings for the analysis.
