In August 2024, the companies further advanced inspection work by expanding the range of equipment that the AI can detect. This has made it possible to automatically perform the entire process from drone data acquisition to abnormality detection, without relying on the judgment of individual workers.
The two companies have now started offering a consulting service for the inspection and maintenance of customers' overhead power transmission facilities, leveraging "POWER GRID Check". Through this service, SENSYN ROBOTICS provides customers with a "POWER GRID Check" license, enabling them to utilize facility data obtained from inspections. Chubu Electric Power Grid handles the inspection of customers' overhead power transmission facilities and develops repair plans based on the inspection results. Together, the two companies provide comprehensive support for customers' overhead power transmission facilities.
Going forward, the companies plan to expand the service to overhead power transmission facilities across Japan and broaden the range of facilities covered by the consulting service.
