This is an announcement that the SENSYN FLIGHT CORE technology provided by SENSYN ROBOTICS, Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President: Takuya Kitamura; hereinafter “SENSYN ROBOTICS”), a company which is aiming to fully automate operations with drones focused on the areas of facility inspections, disaster countermeasures and security surveillance, has been adopted by the SoraSolution drone service of Softbank Corp. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo / President & CEO: Ken Miyauchi; hereinafter “Softbank”).
SENSYN FLIGHT CORE is a comprehensive platform that easily realizes the automation of operations by drones even without special knowledge and skills. It possesses extensive functions indispensable in the automation of operations (e.g., centralized management of flight plan and performance data, support for simultaneous flights with multiple drones, compatibility with the drones of various manufacturers and connection to UTM*) in addition to being able to setup flights simply.
*UTM: This is the abbreviation for unmanned aerial system traffic management.
Softbank’s SoraSolution has been equipped with flight plan connection and automatic image sorting functions – functions possessed by SENSYN FLIGHT CORE. This means even those who are not familiar with drone operation can easily perform inspection operations. It is possible to set the automatic navigation of drones for each inspection route. Furthermore, it is possible to fly set routes in a batch. The photographic data can be managed collectively in the cloud and inspections can be reviewed. Accordingly, this reduces operator oversights/mistakes and relieves the burden of inspections.
